What Others Are Saying…

Fascinating approach. As opposed to thinking out of the box this is thinking out of the book…I will keep up with your process. I just followed you on twitter.

I think it rocks so far…I’m intrigued and want to read more. So yeah, it rocks.

Great concept and style! I especially like Megaera blowing bubbles on p 45-46

I just began the process of creating an Indian theme graphic novel. I liked your approach and promotional style. Will be a case study for me. Will follow you guys.

Pema D.

Congrats. Wonderful storytelling. Amazing art. Will follow your novel and pass your URL onto my graphic novel buddies.

James R.

As I mentioned in another forum/group: This is actual content. Therefore, an actual purpose for Twitter may be emerging.

E.G.

This will be interesting to watch. I am of the type (pardon the pun) who likes to hold onto and savor a book or two or three…Best wishes

Dinah C.

There is a lot of creativity here and I can see the comparison with other hard copy graphic novels such as the Bone series or Gaiman, Sandman, etc. So… in terms of the genre….and what you are delivering….over the web, I think you are successful. It also seems to have all of the Hollywood elements required for success in terms of sex, violence, etc. all packed into a lot of art and sound bites. My favorite parts were the poetic quotations,,,I could see doing something like Gangs of New York in this format. There could be a real historical significance or some other metaphor that folks might apply to new conditions. It also seems like Maps are underutilized in graphic novels.

Jim T.

An interesting concept. I hope this works. The trailer had me looking for more – so I did. Nice.

Steve Y.

Finally, a reason for Twitter to exist?

E.G.

The graphic novel was awesome! I just checked it, and was amazed. Keep up!

Cahya D.

I’m in. I like it. Others will, too. Gotta say again, very cool.

Beth A.

Fun! I enjoy the site – very clean and modern look. Nice work.

Boysen H.

Though, I haven’t sat down, and I will in the next coming days, due to my schedule to really take a look at your concept…I like that you took an inventive initiative and approuch to it, nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Great success to you both.

Slim S.

I’ve always thought music could make or break a film, at least for me it does, and your choice of soundtrack [on the website] lent an interesting sense of mystery to the reading experience…I liked it.

Frank G.

Very cool! I want to see more.

Lea C.

Amazing artwork…!

Iwan S.

Love what I’ve seen so far : )

Rajesh P.

Wow, I love it, very well done!

Carina F.

I’ve enjoyed reading the first chapters of your online graphic novel. The style is appealing; color choices and images/graphic layout have good balance and panels transition well. The plot is intriguing. I look forward to more revelations. I at first like the audio background, but enjoyed the “silence” more with the audio off. Thanks for publishing this, and sharing it.

David K.

I added the Twitter, Facebook and WordPress links. I’m the editor/publisher of a fanzine on comic books. I’ll give it mention in there as well. I strongly support the efforts of others in the field we love.

Great Job!

OMG! Like IT!

Starting with the twitter page – eye popping – nice. Onto the site proper, same theme, same wow! … Your mind sits up and begs not to be disappointed, not another flashy vacuous site, please no, not that …

So, is the story line any good ?

Death is food
Food is energy
Energy is power
Power is focus
Focus is completion
Completion is death
Truth.

Yep, the story is …. go read it, give it some time to sink in … read it again. Rinse repeat as needed. But READ it!

Sound track… is kinda ok for the first few moments and then it sort of jars on your nerves. Maybe that is the point..maybe that is what adds to the overall effect — maybe. Personally I find it annoying as hell after a very short time…just as well I have a volume off button on this box of transistors…Funny how even after typing that I notice I have turned the volume back on..that sound is really getting to me now… almost begging me to … to

When you run out of pages / spreads I hope your mind is still intact, still able to respond to normal stimuli…mundane everyday existence. You know eating, breathing… that kind of thing. If not, crawl back inside and enjoy the minds of Silence!

BOS thank you for giving us your soul… it is indeed a worthy playground for the senses.

I agree with Joel, very 100 bullets and very cool. I’m a huge graphic novel fan and I really enjoy the art, and the fact that its on twitter :)

Derrinita W.

I checked it out, thanks. Very nice work. Liked the music, too. Can’t wait to see where it all leads. No disrespect intended, but it has a very “100 bullets” feeling — but that’s a good thing.

Joel S.

I have looked at the beginnings of the GN and I like. The artwork is great…

Merlin G.

…I love it. The internet is a perfect place for a graphic novel. Good Luck with it!

Amy L.

Excellent! Very good drawing. Great color and attention to detail.

Ronke O.

I’ve been swamped, so I’ve been digging into it slowly, but I’m really excited by what I see so far. Great work guys! I’ll stay tuned :)

Kurt S.

Nice work and the audio in the background adds an ambiance you don’t get in print…I could see Blank fitting nicely in context with some of 2000AD’s urban conflict stories. In short, nice work.

Simon B.

Cool guys — great launch ideas, nice art work & slick execution.

Jeffrey G.

Looks interesting. I’ll be following it on Facebook.

Josh M.

Interesting concept.

Victoria D.

I love what you are doing.

Owen R.

Looks really great guys, very dark, intriguing, very “different”. Can’t wait for more!

Kevin Q.

Nice job.

Joel R.

There are some writers who have been enjoying a great amount of publicity and success using Twitter and Facebook as avenues to interact with their readers and generate buzz with their work. I am very pleased to hear of your initiative using these channels. Graphic novels are a growing niche that are attracting new markets and an art form unto themselves. Many big publishers and some of the chief editors are experimenting with these forms of social media as well. I will be looking up your pages. Good Luck.

Nancy O.

I looked–very stylish.

Peter G.

Ian and Don, Great work guys.

Tariq H.

Really cool webcomics, dude. Keep it up. Already bookmarked it :)

Romeo B.

Loooove it! Amazing. Can’t wait to see more!

Denise L.

Fantastic Concept! Fantastic Production! All around quality goods…Certainly Cutting Edge…I already forwarded it to a boatload of friends in the graphic field, I am sure there will be a buzz. Congratulations…

Rob F.

This is fantastic! I like to see what you are doing…but most of all, I like that the story is solid! No amount of social media will help if the story sucks. Good job.

Scott M.

Pretty innovative. I’m there… :)

Jasmeen K.

This is great. I really hope it opens some doors for you guys. I am already hooked and signed up! Excellent artwork. Cheers.

Mark C.

This sounds positively exciting.

Jo G.

Already passed it on! (More to come.) Looking forward to following along…Intriguing possibilities, perhaps along the lines of Lost and Heroes. I’ll be sure to help spread the word.

Mitch D.

Nice work; reads well, is enticing and the artwork is excellent. Good job.

Steve L.

I really like what you have so far. Can wait for the next installment.

Mayet B.

Very nice stuff – artwork and writing alike.

David M.

Nice! Really smart way to diffuse the comic as well.

Yves C.

Cool idea for a release – best of luck.

Elliot B.

I must congratulate you on your achievement! The novel looks great! Really. I like the whole feel of it, dark and intense, triggering curiosity. All the very best for your future work. Bring on more! :)

Nishant M.

It’s great! Thanks for sharing and keep up the fascinating work.
